Introduction

The 2026 Summer School is our initiative for promoting women leadership, philosophy, culture, critical thinking, sustainability, and inclusion in the backdrop of current challenges that transform our societies.

Why Venice?

We have chosen Venice as the location for our 1st Edition of the GreenerEU Summer School because this is where history meets philosophy, politics, leadership, and the quest for sustainability.

The floating city, as it is known to the world, once the greatest seaport in the European Medieval Ages, filled with gorgeous palaces, luxurious hotels, canals, artistic and cultural treasures, with a unique environment that is threatened by climate change, mass tourism and gentrification, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Venice is today a place for both delights and challenges.

Nowhere in the world are mesmerizing beauty, historic grandeur, and fragility more interlinked than in Venice. The city rising from the water seeks to rise again in the 21st century, with the same iconic landmarks but with hopes for a more sustainable and fair future. Now you can contribute with your visionary ideas and out-of-the-box thinking!

Meet our lecturers and their courses

The Summer School brings 4 Masterclasses conducted by 4 lecturers with a strong professional and leadership track who will share, within a practical laboratory, their knowledge, thoughts and advice on human-centred actions, innovation, sustainable futures, and ethical reflection for responding to today’s global challenges.
