We are opening the open call for participants at the GreenerEU International Summer School of 2026! The Summer School is the flagship initiative of GreenerEU from Germany for promoting women leadership, philosophy, culture, sustainability, critical thinking, and inclusion in the backdrop of current challenges that transform our present societies.

Dates and Location
The Summer School will take place between 3-8 August 2026 in a hybrid format, in Venice, Italy, and online.
Why Venice as a Location for our Summer School?
Venice is where history meets philosophy, politics, leadership, and the quest for sustainability.
The floating city, as it is known to the world, once the greatest seaport in the European Medieval Ages, filled with gorgeous palaces, luxurious hotels, canals, artistic and cultural treasures, with a unique environment threatened by climate change, mass tourism and gentrification, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Venice is today a place for both delights and challenges.
Nowhere in the world are mesmerizing beauty, historic grandeur, and fragility more interlinked than in Venice.
The city rising from the water seeks to rise again in the 21st century, with the same iconic landmarks but with hopes for a more sustainable and fair future.
Objectives of the Summer School
Amplify women-led philosophy and leadership;
Foster intergenerational and interdisciplinary dialogues and debates;
Promote inclusion for transformative changes led by forward-thinking individuals;
Equip participants with ideas on human-centred actions, innovation, sustainable futures, and ethical reflection for responding to today’s global challenges.
