What are the smaps
The SMAPS are a tool to promote creative and sustainable tourism. The SMAPS are interactive maps which helps tourists find sustainable offers in thematic itineraries. The SMAPS already exist in different tourist destinations such as Venice, Berlin, Paris and help to give visibility to artisans, local sustainable producers and cultural sites.
The SMAPS are sold individually to tourists through sales partners such as restaurants, museums shops and online as well as B2B to Hotel Groups, Destination Management System operators and groups to facilitate soft-landing of tourists with a digital welcome kit at Hotel Receptions, Airports or Mobility epicentres (ports & trains).
The SMAPS can be downloaded in the online shop and developed site-specifically with local partners such as city councils, hotels & local associations or private entities. The SMAPS are connected to the Cultural Itineraries of he Council of Europe which are 46 International Cultural Routes developed under the FARO Convention and specifically due to the Enlarged Partial Agreement. It's head office is in Luxemburg where the inventor of the SMAPS - Isabella Mavellia - has worked at before founding GreenerEU.
